Some pages were torn. The binding was all in pieces. I took the pages carefully into my hands, glued them back together in perfect order and ironed them smooth. I carefully examined every page, my hands  sliding over the enchanting text like so many times before. Nothing was missing. All the words, all the images were there. They took an almost new appearance. The book was revived. There was a sudden cool breeze that I felt when the process was over. I looked around but all I could see were the curtains swaying back and forth in the night and dogs barking in the neighborhood as if though they felt something. I just smiled and placed it on the floor. The book. It shall be read again. It was late at night and I needed some rest …..
